The Trader, Death and You
2D Adventure / Platformer / Metroidvania.
Explore the ruins of the old fortress and your curiosity will uncover many secrets.
Here you will meet a Trader and learn a little more about the habits of Death.
At the end of the day even a small adventure like this one can put you in front of some interesting moral choices.
Such choices can help one to understand himself and build a character.

At the bottom of the (first) elevator:
now I think I've lost the barrel entirely, which looks kind of unfortunate?EDIT: no, it was just on the lower ledge, so that's OK....followup: once I'm in the warehouse below that floor, there's a torch and a bookcase on the other side, but they're behind a...big swirling thing that teleports me out. I feel like I'm missing something fundamental about how to get past it.
It is good that you noticed a glimpse of the bookcase and torch as I did it this way on purpose. You can return and lit the torch later and get some valuable info from the book. You will also see the other torch and the bookcase a bit later. Thank you for playing!
Oh, I see. I was trying to get to it for a while, because I forgot about the other lever, so I thought this was the only way to go forward.
Once I did go back...I reached a point where I had to set it aside (and there may have been an actual bug, where I pushed the burner up against the angled wood, and it seemed to get stuck there and I had no way out; I just stood on the burner until I ran out of health and could reset). There's a lot I like in here, with the opening of passages and new jumping platforms and so forth. It's also just a little daunting at the moment.
You mean place with the first burner? The idea here is that burner can push the platform with a fan up, and you have to jump on it in time… I see, looks like the angle of the wooden gates is too small to push burner from it. Quick fix done! Thanks for a bug catch!
Thank you for critique! Yes, the two “!” is not good and “!” above the places of interest is not an ideal solution in general, sometimes players miss it… I was thinking about highlighting an object of interest with some color, but it looks ugly. I definitively fix it as soon as came up with an elegant solution. :)
